Hahahahahahaha

Fetchmail is well known for deleting stuff before deciding that it was
reliably going to be delivered (ie, the receiving MTA has actually issued
an acceptance code). ESR has said (not quite) in a talk, that this innovation
in fetchmail was a good one.

In this case, my way of doing this would be to run:

exim -d+all -oX 2525 -bd

in one window, and

telnet localhost 2525

in the other, running the same SMTP session that was in the snipped message.

When you've read the debugging output, and worked out why it thinks that
matjc is an unknown user, then come back to this list and ask for help.

A few ``exim -bt''s probably wouldn't go amiss either.
