I am running exim 3.36
and the messages sitting in spool/input
are everything from mail failures..
remote mailboxes full.. remote users banned..
Mail delivery failed returns.. etc.. etc..
I was running exim -bd and I just started running
exim -bd -q30m
would that clean this up?
thanks!

Nick

If you give us a bit more information, such as some history of these
messages (taken from the log or message log) it would be easier to help.
Also you can try forcing a delivery with -d and -M to watch what happens
to one of these messages. Oh, and tell us which release of Exim.

Indeed that shouldn't be keeping anything more than 2 days. So why is
it? I can't say without further information...
