[Exim] exim/spool/input

    I ran out of inodes on my Exim server because
there was SO many messages in this folder/subfolders.
What are these and why don't they expire?

here is the timeout related options in my config :

ignore_errmsg_errors_after = 60m
timeout_frozen_after = 2d
auto_thaw = 4h
*                      *           F,2h,20m; G,10h,1h,1.5; F,2d,8h

So nothing should really be hanging around after 2 days right?
what is the correct way to keep that input folder clean?
