Hi
I installed exim4 on solaris8.
I am having a problem with all our internal mail servers.
All mail destined for them is giving the following error message:
2002-11-12 10:21:56 lowest numbered MX record points to local host: prme.wits.ac.za (while verifying <jkalala@???> from host localhost (mail.ecnet.co.za) [127.0.0.1])
2002-11-12 10:21:56 H=localhost (mail.ecnet.co.za) [127.0.0.1] F=<joke-request@???> temporarily rejected RCPT <jkalala@???>: lowest numbered MX record points to local host
The MX records for the baxes to point to the localhost as mail from the outside needs to come here.
If I remove the MX record no external mail for that server comes in.
If I leave it then mail cannot be delivered.
Is there any way I can get exim to use A records instead of MX as was the case in the older versions or is there some otherway to get around this problem.
