[Exim] Exim virtual domains not working

Im not understanding virtual domains with exim. I don't beleve I have a true
virtual domain system.
I have all the domains we provide email for in a single "alias" file. will
this work?

eg:
#packetworks
sales:                                salespacket

#amitel
sales:                                  salesamitel

The problem is, sales@??? also goes to sales@???

How do I overcome this so its not looping.
