PGP is the original program by Phil Zimmerman. GPG is the Gnu clone. Most
free software people seem to use the latter because it interoperates with
newer versions of PGP (and therefore supports better algorithms etc.) but
without the licencing problems.

I have a key but it is as yet poorly hooked in to the web of trust.
