hello again! thanks for your fast responses!
I'm not running any mail script. actually my cgi-bin dir is empty.
but you are right. apache IS running as nobody. but I can't see a way
it could affect these spam mail bounces (what is a bounce? a mail
which was rejected by the target's isp mta? see below).
output of "telnet relay-test.mail-abuse.org" attached.
....
Tested host banner: 220 ESMTP Exim 3.35 #1 Wed, 25 Sep 2002 12:50:29 +0200
System appeared to reject relay attempts
Connection closed by foreign host.
....
so I'm not relaying mails and my mta cannot be abused by anyone?
one of the mails my local user "epico" gets:
................................................................
Envelope-to: nobody@???
Delivery-date: Wed, 25 Sep 2002 12:55:59 +0200
From: spamadmin@???

I wonder why my local user "epico" receives mail since it's sent to
nobody@???. and I have to alter some settings because up to
now I cannot send mail. FROM:<epico@>: host mx0.gmx.de
[213.165.64.100]: 550 {mx028-rz3} Cannot resolve your domain
quite obvious :)
