I am using exim-4.04 (from package), always when i try to send mail i get
in mainlog message:
995-06-08 01:13:43 0sJSQ3-000PZ2-00 == xxx@??? R=dnslookup T=remote_smtp
defer (-53): retry time not reached for any host
I got 2 interfaces on my machine and internet reachable only from one, i put
into remote_smtp
option interface = "1.2.3.4", and than reload exim but still have same
problem ;(
$ ftp -s 1.2.3.4
ftp.microsoft.com
Connected to
ftp.microsoft.com.
$ftp
ftp.microsoft.com (default interface)
connection timeout
As you can see exim dont realy using 1.2.3.4 as outgoing inteface ;(
