Even if you daemonise SpamAssassin (spamd), you will not have solved this
problem. I run spamd, scanning mails using spamc and my server doesn crawl
most of the time. This is not a high end box, just dual pentium 500 with
256MB RAM. What Jaffrey saw is much the same what I see here:
