What Exim? What LDAP? Why haven't I seen your postings on the Openldap
list? Because setting up LDAP succesfully is not something that you
achieve like counting from 1 to 3.
This is such a specialized area, and ldap is such an individual issue,
that you cannot simply say: "I know how *I* do things, therefore you
should also know how I do it". Let alone adding: "You should also all
know what I'm trying to achieve, without me telling you."
There have been many Exim/ldap postings, questions and answers on this
list in the last few months, detailing a lot of specialized stuff. Also,
I've found that the Exim 4 spec.txt, in combination with the Exim list
and the Openldap list, has given me just about all the extra basic stuff
I needed to get every possible aspect of Openldap working with Exim,
without having to post any questions whatsoever here.
So, say what you have, what you've tried (with Exim), and what hasn't
worked. But first read the Exim archives for the last few months.
