We cant be expected to make home users start configuring their mail clients
to use AUTH and stuff. We already authenticate users via radius for them to
be able to send mail in the first place.

Its just a case that any one can sign up with fals info to a free isp. Get a
dial up account and email address and then just mail away.

1000? Way too high.

And with envelope forgery, that's possible just how? Maybe if he enforces
AUTH and that updates a mysql table of some sort with each time he logs in
...
