Well, the only thing I can suggest is what was suggested before, and
that is to run the daemon for a bit with debugging turned on:

exim -d -bd -q1m 2>/some/file

(If using Exim 3, use -d9). The file will fill quite quickly if your
system is busy. Once you have had a failed message go through, kill the
daemon - because debugging is turned on, it will still be attached to
the terminal and you can kill it with CTRL-C.

Send the file to me (off list) if you can't make sense of it yourself.
