Assunto: [Exim] local_interfaces - small confusion
Hi all,

From the spec.txt (Exim 4), I am abit confused on the local_interfaces
definition.

"The string must contain a list of IP addresses, in dotted-quad format
for IPv4 addresses, or in colon-separated format for IPv6 addresses.
It is usually easier to change the list separator character instead of
doubling all the colons in IPv6 addresses"

http://www.exim.org/exim-html-4.00/doc/html/spec_13.html#IX807

So can I say that is is okay to use a colon, semi-colon or comma
as separator for the list??

local_interfaces = a.b.c.c ; e.f.g.h
local_interfaces = a.b.c.d : e.f.g.h
local_interface = a.b.c.d , e.f.g.h

While I could test that and "see for myself", Exim-3 only used the colon.
The URI referenced above used semi-colon, and I've also seen the use of
comma, so I am lost.

And one last question - what does the < do, as in
local_interfaces = < : a.b.c.d

??

Thanks
