Hm, using exim4.10 and the appropriate Version of exiscan (4.10-11) I still
don't get the expected errormail bounced back to the original sender.

All I get is this:

--cut--
Execution request failed:
        rsmtp user@testdomain
Standard error output was:
--cut--

however, the exim logfile is of more Information:

2002-07-25 14:49:54 17Xi40-0005K5-00 rejected by exiscan(): malicious
content found (Name of my testvirus) H=(none/unresolved/local)
[none/unresolved/local] Sender='from-address@from-domain'
Recipients[1]=[sven@???] Subject='ein virentest, bitte wegwerfen\n'
2002-07-25 14:49:56 17Xi42-0005K8-00 rejected by exiscan(): malicious
content found (Name of my testvirus) H=(none/unresolved/local)
[none/unresolved/local] Sender='' Recipients[1]=[from-address@from-domain]
Subject='Mail failure - rejected by local scanning code\n'
2002-07-25 14:49:56 17Xi42-0005K8-00 Error while reading message with no
usable sender address (R=17Xi40-0005K5-00): rejected by local_scan:
malicious content found (Name of my testvirus) H=(none/unresolved/local)
[none/unresolved/local] Sender='' Recipients[1]=[from-address@from-domain]
Subject='Mail failure - rejected by local scanning code\n'
2002-07-25 14:49:56 17Xi40-0005K5-00 Child mail process returned status 1

As I already said, in SMTP bounces one will see the reason of the bounce, in
rsmtp bounces all you see is an emty message.

BTW, which is the correct exim Variable one should put to the -a Option of
uux?
