[Exim] Backup Mail Server

I have seen a number of emails going through the list as well as the docs on
exim site. I wanted to ask everyone how the feel a backup mail server should
be configured. I currently have it setup in relay domains but in some of the
email I see people configured it to batch. I am interested to head how
others have it setup. Thanks for your input.
