Assumpte: [Exim] Exim 4.05 & Mailiman - Missing the Directors Configuration
Hello,

I've set up exim both on my local RH 7.2 workstation (for testing) and
similar server (on which I want to run mailman). The problem is that in
following the instructions within mailman's README.EXIM, I discovered
that my local install and server install were fundamentally different.

The basic problem is that the DIRECTORS CONFIGURATION does not seem to
appear on the server (yet it does on my workstation).

This wouldn't necessarily be a problem except that mailman asks for
modifications to the Directors config file section (which I can't seem
to find on the server).

They are both running using exim 4.05. I believe I downloaded them from
the same place (list.org I believe). Mailman doesn't specify which
version of exim is required.

Since starting this email I've started this process again (starting with
'make clean', then 'make' and 'make install') - The directory that it
creates still doesn't have the missing section.

Maybe I'm missing something in the Linux Makefile, but it sure isn't
clear what it is...

Any help would be apprecited.. I am assuming this is linked to why when
I did try to 'shove' the mailman code into the exim config this:
    exim -C configure -bV
gives me the following error:
    Exim version 4.05 #3 built 13-Jul-2002 23:35:22
Copyright (c) University of Cambridge 2002
2002-07-14 20:26:37 Exim configuration error in line 578:
auth list_owner_director: cannot find auth driver "smartuser"

Thanks in advance..

Mike
