Go to the exim web site (
www.exim.org) download the sample configs
and look for C034:
"This is a HOW-TO for setting up Exim to support SMTP authentication
under different environments, including regular password files, PAM
and NIS."
then have a look at the docs for the TLS stuff (section 38):
