Subject: [Exim] smtp-auth between two exim-servers one with static and one with dynamic ip
Hello,

with this settings i configured exim 4, that it should send near all mail to their mx but some

domains (defined in relay_to_xy_domains) to our other server with static ip that should relay them:

relay_to_xy:
driver = manualroute
domains = +relay_to_xy_domains
transport = remote_smtp
route_list = * mailserver.xy.de

dnslookup:
driver = dnslookup
domains = ! +local_domains
transport = remote_smtp
ignore_target_hosts = 0.0.0.0 : 127.0.0.0/8
no_more

now i want to configure smtp-auth between the two servers (this one and mailserver.xy.de whitch is a good working exim 4 too).

How to do that the best way ?

For example i do not know, how to set auth on the servers so, that it exim should only try to auth, if it is the another server and not try to auth on every other server, that has auth-mechanism.

The first one (with the relay_to_xy-options) has a dynamic ip, so that i can not allow relaying from its ip on the second server and have to set up smtp-auth.

Greetings,
Markus
