[Exim] majordomo calls exim, with fails with error 65535

Hi

I am running majordomo and exim on a linux box (redhat 7.1)

Since rebuilding the system, majordomo is failing, and the log contains
lines line

Apr 22 10:36:01 serlinux14.essex.ac.uk resend[27196] {daily} ABORT Mailer
/usr/sbin/exim -oi -oee -falan@??? daily-reallist exited
unexpectedly with error 65535

Do you have any idea what I might be doing wrong, please?
