I run Exim along with Openldap server on my mailbox. I have a user who
has a number of aliases, the user resides on box buster, the main exim
server resides on bsod.
on bsod, user fido only exists in the ldap server, his mail goes to
/var/mail/fido/ Maildir. He has aliases irex and lists which are listed
in the /etc/alias file (have not got around to putting that to ldap
yet). however exim is saying that the mail is unroutable. Mail direct to
fido are delivered okay, it is only external mail to his Aliases are
have the poroblem.
the Alias driver is the standard Exim 4 :
system_aliases:
driver = redirect
allow_defer
allow_fail
data = ${lookup{$local_part}cdb{/etc/aliases.cdb}}
file_transport = address_file
pipe_transport = address_pipe
retry_use_local_part
user = exim
I am just wondering if I should remove the retry_use_local_part or put
the system_aliases about the ldap driver
