Hi,
When a host is setup as a mail forwarding host using
exim, does all the mail data goes through the host, in
and out ?
For example, mta.relay.tld runs exim and forwards
messages sent to me@??? to me@my_fai.com.
Joe@host1 sends a message to me@???.
Is the whole message (headers and body) sent from
host1 to mta.relay.tld, stored temporarily there and
then sent again from mta.relay.tld to mta.my_fai.com
or is there a negociation phase between host1 and
mta.relay.tld that enables the message to be sent
directly from host1 to mta.my_fai.com.
