Im curious - is it this line:

that makes you think you are getting a timeout error?
The real error here is that while "borgspooler.peak.org" is listed as
one of the MX for "evanite.biz", it refuses to accept mail for that
domain.
"borgspooler.peak.org", is not running exim - it appears to be running
sendmail..
I assume "evanite.biz" is your domain, and "mail.evanite.com" is your
host, and perhaps "borgspooler.peak.org" is your ISP's mailserver. If
that is that case, you really should arrange for your ISP to provide
secondary MX service before your list them as such in the DNS..
