D'ohhh! I was running a test daemon on port 2525, and connecting to
port 25, and wondering why my config changes had zero effect. My
example ACL -- reject mail where the subject is "REJECTME" -- does
indeed work fine.
I couldn't get a regex-based rejection working last night, but I was
tired and cranky. I'll give it another shot now, and whine to the list
again if I still can't make it work.
