I'm presuming from what you write that you're looking for a
load-sharing/round robin solution, not a failover/cluster.

I'm not a Sun expert. They tried to bang it into some of our heads and I
have my workgroup proficiency exam, but just failed Enterprise/SAN.

However; I rather tend to agree with Phil. By all means use FC-AL, but
redesign the concept, so as to hang the array onto one server and use
fast ethernet (or some such) for the other server.

Use an NFS solution with Exim file locking, since that's what it's all
about. You could even add more network mail servers later.

This has the added advantage that you don't have to use any patent
solutions, though it certainly doesn't preclude the use of network
backup/storage later (StorEdge or Solstice).

If you're looking for a cluster, then this is definitely the wrong
approach (see www.sun.com).

Best,

Tony

- Just be glad that you don't have to provide a Microsoft Exchange
solution :c)
