My server says "250-AUTH LOGIN PLAIN" and Pine seems to pick PLAIN. By
setting server_prompts it seems to give up (possibly sending "*") as my
Exim now says "501 Authentication cancelled" (IIRC but the number's OK).
The problem (as Pine seems to see it) is that Exim sends not "334 " but
"334 [mime64stuff]". Bad Pine :-/
