If I understand it right:
exiscan is now (as patched exim4) a binary solution ???
Now we are using exim + exiscan + sophos with a modified exiscan-script:
I've changed exiscan for using
sophie (socket server, which can check files or
directories to included virusses)
...it works good...and much time faster as the origin exiscan,
which calls sophos' sweep for each email body (saved in
a tempory directory)
Every call of sweep loads alls virus specifications into the
memory!!!
If we are planing to change to exim4 ...What can I do ???
>>> using of (our) modified "old" exiscan ...perl version...
(eventually substituted by newer (perl) versions,...)
???
or: Is it possible to include a socket server communication instead of
the call of a configured command interface (sophos: sweep)
???
