I hope some-one can help.
The situation is as follows:
There is on central mail server which handled all mail, Server A
There is a group server where virtual domains are stored, Server B
There is department server Server C
A user has an e-mail address (jon@???) on server B that is
a virtual domain (like.mydomin.com).
Server B then crashes, and we cannot get it up.
So user ask for all mail from jon@??? to be sent to his
other email jon@??? which is set-up on server C.
So in Server A I have set the following up:
In Exim's configure :
system_aliases:
domains = mydomain.com
driver = aliasfile
file = /etc/aliases
search_type = lsearch
file_transport = address_file
pipe_transport = address_pipe
The aliases file has the entries:
admin:kamalang@??? (this is my aliases that work)
jon@like:jon@??? (new one I created that does not work)
This however does not work. I thought that exim would still add the
domain to the left part to create jon@??? and send it to
jon@??? but it does not.
Any suggestions?
