Hi folks,
If you don't use Exim on FreeBSD, you can ignore the rest of this
message.
The ports/mail/exim-devel port has been updated for exim-4.00. Folks
using cvsup mirrors should allow time for the update to trickle down.
Folks who want to install via package should allow about a week for the
package to appear on
ftp.freebsd.org and a little longer for mirrors.
This also fixes the packaging errors folks were complaining about for
the previous version of the exim-devel port (for exim-3.952).
The port is still broken for reinstallation with FORCE_PKG_REGISTER,
because of Exim's way of keeping multiple binaries around (e.g.
exim-4.00-2). I don't plan to fix this; patches welcome. :-)
I'm looking into adjusting the exim-* slave ports for MySQL, LDAP etc.
to accept a WANT_EXIM4 knob, but don't expect this to happen soon.

Update to exim-4.00, the long awaited next release of Exim.
Version-chasers beware; exim-4 configuration files are significantly
different from exim-3 configuration files. Do not attempt to upgrade
without reading POST-INSTALL-NOTES.
