Obviously. Any MTA which is configured NOT to do so is broken /
misconfigured.

eg: Sendmail configured with the sysman tool on Compaq Alphas (it also makes
sendmail an open relay - that's the one tool I've seen that's worse than
linuxconf). Another example = Bloatus Jokes ...

You shouldn't add DUL checking if you use something like spamassasin.

The DUL is designed to prevent direct to MX spam, not drop mail from a dialup
user through a smarthost.
