I've already mailed to the "originator" from exiscan...but I think
it were be good to ask also others, who use exiscan for email virus
checking...
We've a license for sophos and have configured exiscan to use
sophos' sweep.
The server is running on a HP-UX UNIX system
exiscan starts as a master process and forks a configured number
of childs for scanning/dequeueing
If I want terminate exiscan, I give "HUP" to the master process:
kill -s HUP pid_of_master
the master_process terminates with the right syslog-entry.
But the forked childs don't terminate (living now with parent-pid: 1)
Why???
