I have also to add two notes. one is the bad new:
Even if the delivery success would be given it is not RFC safe:
If you cross a mailer that does not support it you are equally in the
ditch .
The good new: You could set a process that read the log file, and
as soon it detect an incoming connection from an "enabled"
address it memorize it, then it just e-mail back the result to the
sender. Fron this point onward it is the sender's duty to search
elsewhere ....
IT IS IMPORTANT that you have a list of to-be-notified addresses,
so you do not send delivery notifications to people from outside not
requesting it !
