My exiwhat command gives me this:
19993 daemon: -q1h, listening on port 25
22089 handling incoming connection from (mx1.state.vt.us) [159.105.23.130]
24785 handling incoming connection from (mx1.state.vt.us) [159.105.23.130]
26338 handling incoming connection from (mx1.state.vt.us) [159.105.23.130] id=16DopR-0006qo-00
My top command gives me:
10:29am up 13:25, 2 users, load average: 2.62, 2.38, 3.64
22089 exim 16 0 1644 1644 1528 R 99.9 0.3 20:25 exim
24785 exim 17 0 1644 1644 1528 R 99.9 0.3 10:28 exim
This will continue until I have several more exim procceses running and my load crashes my server
only running /etc/rc.d/init.d/exim stop
and then a restart /usr/exim/bin/exim -bd -q1h seems to solve this problem.
