The default exim.conf file has a section "DIRECTORS" specific for this
and usually it has a sub-section for 'procmail director'. Use this for
making use of the users' .procmailrc instead. There is also a section
for 'user forward'. It is superfluous to use a .forward to point to
procmail 'coz the conf file for exim has directives within....
