I have a server setup to relay mail, connections are only accepted from
local network.
Mail server works well, but every once in a while it returns
2001-10-16 18:50:22 15tRnc-0008VF-00 ** XXX@???: unrouteable mail domain
"xxxx.com"
This can happen to a whole mail out or an individual message.
Sometimes sending mail from joebloggs@??? to
joebloggs@??? gets unrouteable mail domain and the error is
successfully sent to the same address. very confusing.
It can run for 2 days without an error, and the next day can have anywhere
from 1 unroutable to 100.
dig mx domainname.com returns values, ie lookups are fine.
I have setup named on the machine to see if it helps, but it does not.
Can anybody help?
