I agree. Your intention has been clear from the start. I don't
understand the weird reactions I've seen.
If there's a market for what you're going to deliver, I can't see this
being anything other than a success story for your business, Exim and
the postmaster community at large.
All that needs to be made clear is
1) You are not licensing Exim to your customers; the GPL already affords
them license. Note, though, that you are responsible for disclosing
the terms of this license to your customers.
2) Your customers are paying for distribution and frills.
I think you made point 2 perfectly clear, and point 1 is pretty implicit
therein.
