But did your MySQL 3.23.42 install the libmysqlclient.so.10 library?
Look under /usr/lib/ and /usr/local/lib/.
What does "ldd /usr/exim/bin/exim" tell you?
(I am guessing it says "(file not found) for libmysqlclient.so.10.)
If you do have the library installed, then you may want to set the
LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable to the path of your libraries before running
exim. Or rebuild Exim by using ld's -R switch.
You didn't mention what version of Solaris. Maybe have a look at the
crle(1) manual page.
