i'm looking for an solution to handle multiple smarthosts. i would select
my smarthost (on a dial-up system) depending from the "from:" or "repy-to:"
address in the mail.
i found two - theoretical - possibilities, but both dont work as i prefer
solution one:
using an lsearch-lookup table to select the smarthost. problem: it selects
the smarthost depending on "to:"-address. found at:
http://www.exim.org/pipermail/exim-users/Week-of-Mon-20000918/021253.html
solution two:
using a bunch of routers, matching on "$header_reply-to:" - but it doesnt
route/match as i tried it..
found at:
http://members.tripod.de/HMGerhards/linux/en/how02.html
personaly - i prefer something like described in solution one, a
lookup-table like thingie
example:
web.de: mail.web.de
gmx.*: mail.gmx.de
*.sinneswandel.de: mail.sinneswandel.de
* : default-smarthost.myprovider.de
with "fallback" to the from:-address if the "reply-to:"-field is empty...
but i found nothing like this and my knowledge with exim is minimal, so i'm
not able to modify solution one :%
anyone an idea or help for me?
frank
sorry for thad bad english...
