big mistake, imho. but if you feel to do it this way, especially after
the lengthy discussion between sheldon and a couple of other guys -
just do it.
i just recently did a 6k one, using bsmtp. yah, it took a good 20
minutes to generate the bsmtp file itself (all of the messages were
different, personalized, actually). after exim finished sucking it in
the queue, i did have the chance to see the last ~500 fly out, being
left with 24 [which then were bounced back due to other errors during
the forthcoming days]).
and it was just plan -bs. not a single bit of those fine magic things
that have been discussed here...
ps. on a particulary very slow (by todays standards) box, which btw is
quite heavily loaded due to some java application running in the
background, equipped with one single ide-bus quantum fireball cx6...
yeah, i know, 6k is now much. but 30k is just 5 times that...
