Here's a shcoker for em - the defaut MTA on most unix systems is
sendmail, which is also 'freely distributed' (althought recently there
has become an option to purchase an enhanced version of it)
Why on earth something being 'freely distributed' should be a concern
over using it is completely a loss for me. If anything, 'freely
distributed' means the code has been reviewed for reliablility,
security by many people, that you dont lock yourself into one vendor of
upgrades or assistance, etc etc.. Anyone expressing worry over using
free code clearly doesnt 'get it'.
'freely distributed' software is pretty much always a better choice than
'proprietary' software.
