[Exim] LONG NAMEPROBLEM

Hai
I wanted to know how to use long names in the BSD. If some body has
tried it out pls let me know how to do that. The problem is that i have
changed utmp.h under /usr/include/utmp.h and also
/usr/include/sys/param.h for MAXLOG and tried recomiling the kernel 3
time but dint work. It takes the default setting as 16 characters.
Please let me know as it is causing a major problems in the mailing
part.
