I don't think a GPL product would ever be the main MTA of a BSD distro.
I recall a comment from Theo de Rant(?) that OpenBSD wouldn't distribute
ipf because they give users absolute control over source code, even if
it is to be used to make nucleur missiles in Australia, or some such
thing.
