Hi !!
I'm just trying to get some info from exim_rejectlog in order to
make a report of rejected emails and send it to my users, but this
log is far from being program-processable. I mean that it's hard
for a program to get information from it.
Maybe for next release it could be modified so it could be easely
processed by a simple program (to make statics, reports and so on),
some suggestions:
- get rid of --------------- lines
- gives a fixed amount of information in each line,
like "Date Time RemoteHost Recipient Sender RejectReason"
- write a line for each local recipient the message was sent to
- host_reject rejections are done before knowing the recipient,
maybe it will be not so bad to know the recipient before rejecting.
- recipients_reject_except makes to log lines, one saying it should be
rejected and another telling that the recipient is on the exception
list. This has no sense on the rejectlog (it should only have rejections)
