Subject: [Exim] Delivering as nobody
Hi all,

I am having a problem with exim on FreeBSD 4.3. This was installed
from the exim-mysql port as I intend to use it with vmail-sql. When I
get the exim issues sorted.

When I send a message, I get the following error :

2001-08-13 22:37:55 15WPPD-0008iT-01 == wayne@??? T=virtual_localdelivery defer (13): Permission denied: creating lock file hitching post /var/spool/mail/wayne.lock.clientmail.ehsrealtime.com.3b7848b3.000082e7 (euid=65534 egid=65534)

It looks to me like exim is trying to deliver as user and group
nobody. User mail exists and all spool files in /var/spool/exim/input
are owned by mail.

Can anyone shed any light on why nobody is being used and what I have
to prod to make it use mail ?

Thanks,
