well, (not speaking instead of philip of course, but i hope he will
agree anyway:), you'd have to be a pioneer in this work. given the
current documentation and the list, you'd have to struggle yourself
through the process of setting exim up for common setups (or anything
you like/need to do), take notes, remember stuff, and finally put it
into something you could have understood and used succesfully had it
existed before...
it's like, as i'm observing, the majority of the answering people here
are in the mail-"business" for quite a long time to consider certain
things natural, self-explanatory - yes, this might be something like a
"generations gap" here.
if you could make such a document, or documents even, or just some
guidelines, describing what you fell for, what fooled you, why it did,
now THAT could be a LOT of help for other people like you - and i
don't have the slightest doubt anyone knowledgeable person here would
be happy to sanitize and correct your writings.
that would be great for "the next generation", you would feel good :),
and everyone would be happy ;)

even better - too bad you're most likely english-only :S i observe
that it's pretty darn impossible to find decent documentation in
hugarian (not that it bothers me personally too much), but it's
certainly a PITA for quite a couple of my fellows...
