Philip is right in keeping Exim out of the virus business.

Has any thought been given to a "virus scan" port thru which Exim (or anyone else) can pass scan requests and responses back and forth on?

A skeleton virus server that users can play with without recompiling exim seems like it would be worthwhile.

The mail could be cached in memory by using a ramdisk or the like for large systems..
