"Stable" is a concept that doesn't fit too well with my way of working.
What I have been doing is to move the "stable" pointer to the latest
release approximately one month after the release is out, in the hope
that that is reasonable. 3.31 was released on July 2 primarily to fix
bugs in 3.30, which was released on June 18. There have been a few more
minor bugs reported, so there will probably be 3.32 at some point.
Should I make that instantly "stable", or wait another month? I never
know.
Given that Release 3 is not going to have any more functional additions,
and that 3.3x has been out for a month (just), perhaps I should mark all
future 3.3x releases "stable" instantly, because they will all just be
bug-fix releases.
