I know I have put stuff into Exim to cope with programs that don't
follow the RFCs, but I think this particular fix is one step too far. It
is not something that is potentially ambiguous in the RFC. It is a
REALLY STUPID misreading of a perfectly clear RFC.
I'm sorry to be obstinate here (I'm not often obstinate) but I don't
feel inclined to put workarounds into free software for the benefit of
ridiculously simple mistakes in sofware that makes a lot of money for
some people.
Make a big fuss. Get Outlook fixed.
