I am trying to implement a mailing list and have hit a bit of a brick
wall and would appreciate some advice.
Firstly we dial up though an ISP, they spool our mail and we use
fetchmail to fetch it onto the dial up "firewall" machine.(running
exim). The ISP handles known user names and provide user mail boxes, but
also forward unknown names to an info mail box. So if I send mail to
majordomo@??? it ends up in info's mail box.
I want to run the mail list manager on an internal machine (for greater
security). So the plan was to fetchmail off the firewall onto the
internal machine and run majordomo on it.
But I lose the TO majordomo bit, and so the internal machine does not
run the list. (I have the majordomo bit working internally)
Hope someone has a similar system out there or can suggest a way around
the problem.
Thanks,
Jason
Here is the log off of the firewall
