Autor: Patrick von der Hagen Data: Para: exim-users Asunto: [Exim] OpenLDAP or Solaris-LDAP?
Hi all,
I'm migrating my mail-system to exim and use LDAP to handle my
alias-lookups. The mail-system runs on Solaris, but since some servers
are department-servers I don't have much access to them (just an account
to edit the config file).
The LDAP-Server I use is OpenLDAP and I compiled exim with
OpenLDAP-Support, so at the moment I have to install OpenLDAP-libs and
exim on all mail-servers. But I can expect Solaris-LDAP-Libs to be
installed on all systems, so I wonder if I can compile exim with
Solaris-LDAP-libs instead of OpenLDAP-libs?
I think LDAP==LDAP, so it should work? Distributing my exim-Package
would be much easier. Any comments?
BTW: I moved the first mail-server (under my complete control) to exim
yesterday. It is just great. Phil: Thanks a lot! If you ever happen to
come to Karlsruhe in Germany, I'm sure many people would like to invite
you to a drink.... ;-)
