: Hi there,
: what is the cleanest way to remove exim from my machine all together? I
: just finished make install and haven't done anything else, and am trying
: to just remove it because it turns out postfix fits our purposes
: better. Any help is greatly appreciated.
The best ways are usually things like:
(1) Remove the directory in which you rooted the exim install (e.g.,
/usr/local/exim-3.31/ or /opt/exim-3.31/). Since you didn't
install exim with a packaging system that keeps track of all its
files, you did install exim into its own directory structure,
didn't you?
(2) Use the output from 'make install' to determine which files were
installed. You did save the output of 'make install', didn't you?
